Hi,

I tried to uninstall Admin Tools. I used Joomla Backend, Manage Extensions and uninstall "Admin Tools package". to uninstall all of the component, plugins, etc.
There appaeared a message:
Failed to delete /plugins/system/admintools/admintools

So I tried to use FTP to delete it. Message:
550 RNFR command failed.
550 Remove directory operation failed.

Even to rename the manin-php to main-disable.php failed.

So I installed Admin tools again. Now I can rename the manin-php to main-disable.php. But it is still not possible to delete it with FTP.

I recognized the same problem with another joomla test installation. I can delete manually all of the joomla directory, but not /plugins/system/admintools/admintools

Hello,

if you can't even delete the folder using FTP, it means there's a permission issue.
You should contact your host and ask him to review your permissions on the server.

Hello,

FTP folder rights 755
main.php rights: 644

Again, I can delete the whole joomla directory manually with FTP, but not /plugins/system/admintools/admintools

And using Joomla Backend, I can uninstall "Admin Tools package".
It failed only for /plugins/system/admintools/admintools

So I might think this is an Admin tools issue. If yu are sure that is not, you should close the ticket.

Folder creation and deletion is handled by Joomla itself, not by Admin Tools.
Moreover, you should take a look at the ownership. Permissions will tell you what you can do, ownership will tell you who owns the file.
For further details I'd suggest you to take a look at this section of the manual.
