Hi Akeeba, I hope you don't mind but I am submitting a ticket here because when I select "Akeeba backup for Joomla" I get an error message.

My question is, for the last two weeks my Akeeba backup files are three (3) times larger than normal. This is without material change in content.
I have gone through previous Support and have looked for "large files" without success.
I am hoping you can help resolve this issue.

I have attached my latest akeeba backup log file.

Thank you very much for your help,
Ian Watson

Hello,

The fastest way to know what's going on is to compare the contents of two backups.
You have to download them and extract them locally. Then you should compare their contents: under Linux/Mac you can use the CLI diff command; if you're using Windows there is the free of charge software WinMerge.

Hi Davide,
Thanks for the suggestion. I am running Windows so will give winMerge a try.

Thank you,
Ian
