  Hi

I had recently been hacked, but because of Akeeba I was able to get back up and running really quickly. However, I'm not sure what my best next course of action should be.

Do I opt for an SSL Certificate?

Do I use www.sucuri.net for protection

Is there another firewall protection solution?

Could anyone point me in the right direction to get a 'steer' on a "Best Practice" approach.

Many thanks

Nigel

Hello Nigel,

when you get hacked, we strongly suggest to take a look at our guide Unhacking your site.
Adding a SSL certificate will only give you protection vs main in the middle attacks or attackers trying to spoof your site.
As a rule of thumb, the best thing is to keep your website updated, install only extensions you trust and remove the unused ones.
Moreover, Admin Tools Quickstart wizard will give you several weapons on how to protect your site.
