I have an administrator that have a dynamic IP address. Do you know a way to permit access without turning Admintools off ?

dlb
The part that is blocking the login is WAF's "Allow administrator access only to IPs in Whitelist". That is on the first tab. You can change that to "No" and that will not restrict administrators logging in by IP. You can also add the dynamic IP to the list, but that only works until the IP changes. It is a prescription for irritation.

Thanks dlb

The "Allow administrator access only to IPs in Whitelist" was already set to “No” but I can see his IP in the “Auto IP Blocking Administration”

I guess, as the “Allow administrator access only to IPs in Whitelist" was already set to “No” that he probably make some mistake before, when trying to login ?

What do you think, I guess I should remove his IP from the “Auto IP Blocking Administration” ?

I also take out all the ”Security exception log”

Now with "Allow administrator access only to IPs in Whitelist" set to “No” , remove his IP from the “Auto IP Blocking Administration” and also take out all the ”Security exception log” any administrator with dynamic ip address will be allow to connect ?

I have also the “Administrator secret URL parameter ” On, just for your info.

dlb
When you filter the Security Exceptions by IP to clear his, you should be able to figure out what went wrong. My guess is that he wasn't using the secret URL parameter, but that's just a guess.

Yes, you need to clear both the Security Exceptions list and the Auto-Ban list to get him back to the point where he can log in again.
