Using your IIS rule which blocks access to all php files in Frontend except index.php makes it impossible to login in frontend.

My editors can login via IP address and codes (like index.php?CODE) OR with a certain link: index.php?option=com_loginassist&...CODE - normal Joomla login is blocked.

I can't figure out how to extend your rule to allow these logins. Do you have an advice for me?

Hello,

let's be sure this is caused by Admin Tools.
First of all replace your current we.config with Joomla default one and disable Admin Tools - System plugin.
Your link works?
If it still doesn't work, it means that the problem is somewhere else and not in our software.

However, if you can login, please try to enable the system plugin again. You should be blocked and a security exception should be raised. Get inside Admin Tools component and in the Security Exceptions log please take a look at the blocking reason and post it here; I'll help you to work around your issue.

Sorry, this was the first what I tested.
I have to disable the rule which blocks all PHP files except index.php that a login is possible.
What I can‘t find is a rule which allows a login too.

Please take a look at this page of the manual to understand how to find which exceptions are required.
If you still have troubles with the WebConfig Maker, I'd suggest you to stick with Joomla default web.config file.
