 Hello,

I have used Akeeba Backup to make a backup site for experimentation on a subdomain and another site on a separate webspace also for experimentation.

The frontend of all sites are running. My problem lies in that the administrator backend seems to be connected to all three sites (domain, subdomain and separate site).

If I make a change via domain/administrator it is replicated on subdomain and the separate site and vice versa.

Can you please advise how to set up the administrator/backend so that it works separately for all three (domain/subdomain and separate site)?

Thank you

John

The short answer is: you MUST use different databases (or at least different database prefixes) when restoring each site. See our troubleshooting page for entangled websites.
