 Hello,

I have transferred a site via akeeba backup & kickstart.php.

The SSL from the original domain does not match the new domain and is causing error messages.

Can you please advise how to fix this?

Will I have to run kickstart again? (I am unable to access it now)

Do I modify it in admin tools?

Apologies for the inconvenience.

Thank you

nicholas

The SSL certificate is something you have to install on your server by getting in touch with your hosting provider. You do not have access to it and neither does Akeeba Backup. Please contact your host and ask them how to transfer the SSL certificate. Typically it requires either having several of the original files you used when buying the certificate (secret key, CSR and the certificate files) or reissuing the certificate using a new secret key and CSR. However, this all depends on your host and what you have and has nothing to do with our software. SSL is something that operates at the core of the web server software. Akeeba Backup only deals with Joomla, the web application running under the web server.
