Admin tools has disappeared fro the components dropdown menu after I tried to change the super user email.

I forgot to change the disabling of access to change superuser account, but that hasnt caused the same problem before. I have several pages, where I have admin tools installed and this is the only place where I have the problem.

Hello,

this is an issue caused by Joomla core system.
Please try to instal Admin Tools twice in a row, without uninstalling it. We added some workarounds for this issue, usually this would fix your issue.

When I try to install it, I get an 503-error - service unavailible. The same the second time.

But when returning to the install-page I get a message that the component is succesfully installed - but sadly it is not visible.

The component seems to work though. I can only get to the login-page if I use the secret parameter in the url.

But when I try to reach the component by adding com_admintools to the url, I get an error-message saying that the component does not exist.

How are you installing it? Are you uploading the package?
Can you please try to use the Install from URL feature? More info in the documentation: https://www.akeebabackup.com/documentation/admin-tools/installing.html#installing-from-url

Done that - also twice - still unsuccessfully. No 503-error though. Only package succesfully installed, but still not visible.

Will it at all help to uninstall

Yes, please try to uninstall and install again, it should help.

Whil trying to uninstall I noticed that the admin tools component was deactivated. After activating it the Admin Tools component became visible in the dropdown component-menu - but as you can see in the attached screendump apparently in the core version. No waf configuration.

Should I still uninstall or do you have a solution

I think the best option here is to uninstall and start again from scratch.
Maybe you can recover your current installation, but you could end up having problems in the future, where you have more things installed.

I removed and reinstalled the component - and everything seems correct, so I say thank you for now.
