 Hello,
i have searched the tickets and either have not found it in the documentation.
I have created a jooma site (local, mamp) and now want to move it to the server with akeeba kickstart.
But how can diasable, that everyone who visits the domain can see the index in the browser. is there any posibility to disable or hide the directory index browsing? otherwise everyone can download the akeeba file.
Thank you in advance for your help
Cheers

Hello Robert,

you can disable directory listing using the Htaccess Maker feature.
There is a specific entry named Disable directory listings (recommended), you can find more info here.

Hi Davide,

thank you very much for your replay.
What i ment is, how to protect the directory listings DURING the kickstart installation? because while the installation is running, someone can have temporary acces to the jpa file and the files which are extacting at this moment.

Thank you

Beste Regards,

Robert

During the restoration you can enable the Stealth mode, this means that no one will be able to access your site except you. More info here, search for the Stealth Mode.
