 Hi

Though this is not directly related to admin tools
but you been a super expert in joomla - may guide

i have just ugraded my joomla 2.5 site to joomla 3.6.2 with php version updated to 5.6.x latest series
However - while submitting url index to google - i observed that in headers it shows a concern about expires date pertaining to august 2005

I checked all previous url in joomla 2.5 - there it was no expires date mentioned
Searched google and found that joomla.org even has this expires header

I do not know if its a bug pertaining to joomla itself
But i dont want any negative impact on site related to site ranking,

If can suggest basis expertise - why this expires header been kept of 10 year old date and can it impact site negatively in search engine due to it as header

If yes - you feel a impact - is there a suggestion on how to remove this expires header

Many thanks for been a God in Joomla community for class leading safety extension as built by you !!

Hello,

I suspect such header is added so the content are never cached by the browser.
However this is just an hunch, you should get in touch with Joomla support forums for a better answer.

Thanks for post
Will appreciate if a view from Nicholas can also be obtained on it . It matters a lot and can make an end to the doubts created on mind to the extent of rotating site back to joomla 2.5 - if its a serious issue

Thanks once again

Nicholas is currently on honeymoon, so it's pretty hard to get in touch with him ;)
As previously said: you should not be concerned about it. It's something created directly from Joomla core, its only main purpose is to disable third party cache so you can implement your own.
You can have more info here (it's a Drupal related question, but the topic is the same):
http://drupal.stackexchange.com/questions/87419/why-is-the-expire-header-set-to-some-time-in-the-past-sun-11-mar-1984-12000

Again, since this is not related to Akeeba software, if you have any more questions you should get in touch with Joomla forums.
