I am using Akeeba Admin Tools Professional to satisfy some of the security audit requirements of a governmental organisation.
They have a number of requirements, and Admin Tools is doing a great job of meeting a lot of them. However there is one requirement that they have which Admin Tools isn't meeting -- they need to be able to export the logs on a monthly basis so that they can be sent to an auditor, and also to to ad-hoc exports based on manual views of the log -- ie admin user browses list of exceptions; selects specific filters; sees some exceptions that need further attention, and exports the log based on the filters he's currently viewing.
I'm aware of this ticket where you stated that this feature isn't available but that it is possible to read the table directly, but I have been asked to submit a new ticket to ask the question again.
Specifically, the previous question was asked three years ago, so we are wondering whether there is any change in your position since then? ie are you likely to add a log export feature? And if no, what's the reasoning for this?
Doing an automated export directly via the DB will be relatively trivial, but our ad-hoc export requirement isn't so easy to meet without having an export button on the log page.
Many thanks for you help, and thanks again for producing an awesome piece of software.
