When a user types in an address that ends with HTM or HTML, the error 404 is presented.
For example
Link-HTM
Link-HTML
I am thus forced to set a redirect for each page

Yet it seemed to me that with .htaccess I solved this problem from the beginning.
It may be possible that the Admin Tool has changed this setup?

The .htaccess Maker would replace your current .htaccess file, including any customizations. There should be an htaccess.admintools file in the root of your site which is a backup of the old .htaccess file. You can copy the custom code from that file and paste it into one of the custom code field in .htaccess Maker. Then regenerate your .htaccess file and you should be back on track.
