 Hi Guys,

Firstly, I do understand that you probably do not support older versions due to progress in Joomla, but unfortunately the businesses I built these web sites for aren't currently wishing to spend money on me updating their sites to the current Joomla version... so I need to fault find an issue with the details I supplied, as their sites are not being index by the googlebot and bing since I installed Admin Tools on to their sites back in Feb, so their sites are no longer in search engines.

I was hoping some one may be able me with working out why this has occurred?

In Googles Webmaster Tools - all the sites are showing 403 response errors on the site pages, block the bots out.

So their sites function normally and if you type in the URL of the domain the site comes up and works fine.

If you are aware of another Ticket that explains this problem, can you please send this to me?

Theses 4 sites are on different hosting providers, and platforms like Litepseed and Cpanel. I also spoke with an authourised google adwords consultant and they said the issue must be with the hoting providers servers... but when I have contacted the hosting providers they say it is the sites that have the issue.

This all happened when I installed Admin Tools into these 4 sites... so I am guessing as it has effected all 4... that there is some parameter in Admin Tools I need to fix.

As I said, I totally understand these are old site... but I do not wish to remove the admin tools... so any help you can provide would be great.

I also tested the sites with web-sniffer.net and the URL's all come up with 403 errors.

I really hope you can help.

Regards,
Syco

Hello,

are you using the GeoIP Blocking feature? If so, can you please try to disable it (enable all countries/continents)?

Hi Davide,

Yes I do have them ALL enabled, (except Australia our home country).
So I will disable them ALL, or do I just disable ALL the continents... and leave all the individual countries enabled?

Thanks,
Syco

I strongly suggest you to disable the GeoIP Blocking feature.
It tries to convert visitor IP address in a country/continent, however this is not an exact science: there are several false positives, as you just experienced.
You should disable such feature, since there are more drawbacks than benefits.
