By default AdminTools blocks user agents that use the "wget" command. This means we can't use the cronjob that AcyMailing needs to auto-send newsletters. We only need it for this component.
I guess wget is in the list with blocked user agents for a reason, so my question is: should I remove "wget" from the list or is there another way to make the cronjob work without wget?

Hello,

wget is blocked by default since it could be used to perform automated attacks.
You can remove it from the list of User Agent if you truly need to contact your site using Wget (as in your case using AcyMailing)

Thank you Davide. I understand by removing Wget the webiste is less secure. Just to send mailings. Not the most ideal situation. Is there a workaround to use the AcyMaillings cronjob and still block Wget?

Maybe if you can set an User Agent while running the Wget command it shouldn't be blocked, but I'm not 100% sure about that.

That's my question Davide. Is there a way to do run the cronjob without Wget?

As far I know, no. But you should ask AcyMailing support if there is a workaround for that
