 Hello

I am reading YES for "Enable IP workarounds" in "Quick Setup Wizard" but it is NO in Configure WAF. Is it normal? Also when I look at he database "admintools_storage" it is 0. I mean it looks NO is valid value.
How do you explain the YES in "Quick Setup Wizard".

Please read the documentation. As explained, the automatic detection is NOT reliable as it depends on many things outside our control that we cannot verify. Try setting it to No. If you see that one and only one IP is always blocked, locking everyone out of your site then and only then should you enable the IP workarounds setting.

Nicholas,

I am not talking about blocked IPs. I am talking about the settings in Admin Tools
The setting I concern with "Enable IP workarounds"

When I look at it in "Quick Setup Wizard" I see it is set YES
When I look at it in Configure WAF I see it is set NO
I though I should see both YES or NO.
Why is this?

I am NOT talking about blocked IPs. I am talking about Enable IP Workarounds. I very strongly recommend that you actually do read the documentation.

I am copy pasting from the documentation before I close this ticket:

Below this option there's the "The recommended setting for your site is" line. Admin Tools tries to automatically figure out the recommended setting for this option by comparing your IP address as reported by your own server and a third party server. If they match then you definitely need to set Enable IP Workarounds to No. If these IP addresses do not match your server cannot detect your IP address correctly so you most likely have to set Enable IP Workarounds to Yes. Please note that if your server is in the same local network (LAN) as your computer or you connect to such a network by VPN this recommendation will be INCORRECT and MUST be ignored.

As explained in the documentation and as I told you in my previous reply, the detection depends on whether the IP address reported by the browser and the server match. Once you enable IP workarounds this detection will not work.

As explained in the documentation and as I told you in my previous reply, you need to start with this setting turned off. IF AND ONLY IF you see that one and only one IP is always blocked, locking everyone out of your site THEN AND ONLY THEN should you enable it.

Read the documentation and my replies again.
