I have since seen a huge increase in the number of 404 errors in both Google Webmaster Tools and in Google Analytics landing page reports... 3 to 6 404 errors every minute.
SiteGround and Sucuri say none of my websites (domains) are hacked. The file not found errors themselves are for files that were never on my site to begin with, but now that my site has been cleaned, I assume the hacker bots are looking for the hacked files, not seeing them, then the 404 errors get thrown. Samples of files not found reported by Google are clearly spammy, and clearly from my website:

/a6_auc-littlegarden/10000635.htm
/a6_dacchonsensei/10000023.htm
Siteground recommended SpamBotCheck. I looked into it and it seems to overlap a bit with my already purchased and installed Akeeba Admin Tools Pro. Before I get another extension, I would like Akeeba's insight and guidance.
How can I permanently stop the flow of 404 errors? Is SpamBotCheck redundant?
Please advise.
