I want to restrict access to just 2 countries and this is not happening.
I tested several proxy servers and i can reach the site like there is not geographic blocking
What should I do so that geo blocking works ?

Hello Nick,

if prompted by Admin Tools, try updating the database of the Geo-IP plugin.
However, please keep in mind that the Geo blocking is not an exact science: we utilize an external database (not maintained by us) the converts the current IP to a country. The correlation changes pretty quickly, moreover there are several false positives. Finally, it's quite trivial to trick the detection.
That's why we removed such feature some time ago, sadly users got angry and we had to reintroduce it but, as I said, that's not an exact science.

Hello Davide,

The ip db is updated.
I do believe is not working as I only want Greece and Cyprus open and all other countries blocked so I find it impossible that I can access the site by any other open proxy I tried.
How can I make the restriction possible ? It is very important for us

I'm sorry but you can't.
We are using the MaxMind GeoLite2 database, so there's nothing we can do: we are simply querying the external database and retrieve the country.
I can see that MaxMind is offering a more precise version of such database, but it costs more than 300$ per year and we currently don't support it.
