I have one site whose FTP passwords were stolen and malware installed in it. We tried to clean it and discovered not familiar files in the Admintools system plugin folder. I read the uninstall instructions and clear using FTP all Admintools recommended files. I tried to login into the site in order to install Akeeba again using my secret URL but I get automatically blocked by Admin tools ("You are a spammer ... page appears).

I can not disable Admin tools using FTP process because I don´t have main.php file anymore.
What to do?

Regards,
Enrique

Enrique,

The "You are a spammer..." message is definitely coming from Admin Tools. The files you deleted via FTP are in a cache somewhere. First, clear your browser cache. If that doesn't work, they have to be in a host level cache. You can ask your host how to manually clear the cache or just wait until the cache expires.

Thanks for your answer.
I have cleared both, my browser cache and asked my host to clear cache for me. Still getting the "You are a spammer ... " message. Where are the blocked IPs stored? Should I delete the cache folder? What do you think I should do?

We resolved this by deleting the cache using htacess. It´s working now.
Thanks for your help.

I am glad you got it working!
