Is there any way to import IPs to the Site IPs blackist database table instead of having to create new IP address ranges to block?

I'm using https://www.ip2location.com/blockvisitorsbycountry.aspx, but it's a rather tedious job to have to insert each and every IP range. I've also tried posting the IP blocking in my .httaccess file but receive an error 500 each time. I'm just trying to block IPs outside of my country from accessing my site---quite an extensive list.

Any other ideas/options since the Admin Tools Geographic Blocking isn't completely reliable?

Hello,

you could "abuse" of the import/export feature. It was designed to backup and re-import Admin Tools settings, however it's just a plain text file. You could export your current settings, then manually edit it and every time import the new IP block list.

However, please keep in mind that blocking all users that aren't from your country is a bad decision. The problem isn't Admin Tools Geo Blocking feature being not reliable, but the whole concept of translating an IP into a country name.
So, whatever method you choose, you are going to face false positives and users that are blocked even if they should connect.
In our opinion, blocking IPs on a country basis is not a good solution.

Thank you for the heads up, Davide. I was really hoping to find a solid solutions to lessen the time invested to maintain the blocking of IPs.
