#24006 Can't access articles

 Hi there, I just updated my version of admin tools (through the joomla extension 1-click update process, and now I cannot access any of the articles on my site.

When I go to 'Content > Articles' and click on an article I get the following error message appear on my screen:

"You are not permitted to use that link to directly access that page (#55)."

Also a lock symbol then appears next to the article.

I have taken a look through the WAF settings but I cannot see any settings which refer to locking down the articles. I have tried adding my IP address to the Admin IP Whitelist but that doesn't help either.

Please can someone urgently advise what the problem is as I need to update content on my clients site. I can of course provide super user access if this is required, please just supply me with a secure way to send you the access details.

Hello Keith,

this is a known bug in the latest Joomla version: if the session expires there's a chance you don't get the login screen, instead you get caught in a loop where you can't edit anything (but you are still logged in).

The solution is very simple: logout and login again.
That will destroy your session and then you'll good to go as usual.
