first installed admin tools 3.6.5 under joomla 3.4.5 on one site. Worked just fine, quick setup is great.

Then installed tools 3.6.5 in joomla 3.4.6. site and quick setup does not store all entries.
Upgraded to 3.6.6. but still have problems like for instance password protection and IP solutions. The first site I tried worked after upgrading. but the next sites I tried do not.
The wizard does not store all the entries.

This problem I cannot find in the troubleshooter docs nor in the regular documentation.

Can you please be more specific? I'd need to know which settings you are using, what you expected to happen and what actually happened.

Also please keep in mind that the Quick Setup Wizard's interface will mostly contain the default values when you click on it (only the secret URL parameter is read from the stored configuration). After applying the wizard settings you can verify that they were applied correctly by visiting each one of the features being applied, most of which are found in Web Application Firewall, Configure WAF.

In other words, the Wizard is designed to help you perform the initial setup of Admin Tools. It is not a configuration tool. As such, it does NOT read your stored configuration, it overrides it. Therefore, multiple visits to the Wizard's page will, indeed, show the default settings. This is by design and it has been so ever since we introduced it in Admin Tools, two versions ago.

my bad, probably something to do with cache. After loading in an other browser it turns out to work as supposed to.
