 Hello,

I use phpBB 3.1 with p8pBB from AlterBrains. Since phpBB 3.1 moving a topic via moderation-functions gets blocked by XSS-Shield (https://www.burn-out-forum.de/forum/moderator?f=107&t=13016&start=910&quickmod=1&action=merge&redirect=.%2Fviewtopic.php%3Ff%3D107%26t%3D13016%26start%3D910) Is there a possibility to use XSS-Shield and create an "exception" for this function? I experimented with setting a secure parameter, but had no effort.

Regards
Samson

Hello Jurgen,

if I got it right, your forum is installed in a subdirectory of your site, right?
I think you'll have to put an exception for your forum directory inside the Htaccess Maker

Hello Davide,

thank you for your help.

Yes, forum is installed in a Joomla subdirectory.

I already have an exception for path "phpBB3" for directory and files (incl. php) in htaccess-maker. It worked great before changing from phpBB 3.0.12 to 3.1.2. Now, this error appears with message: blocked by Admin Tools.

Any other idea?

Kind Regards
Jürgen

Can you please disable Admin Tools Sytem plugin and try again? What happens?
I have an hunch of what could happen, but I'd wish to be sure.

After disabling the plugin, it works as usual. After enabling aging, it is blogged by Admin Tools. I used following link: https://www.burn-out-forum.de/forum/moderator?f=107&t=13016&start=910&quickmod=1&action=move&redirect=.%2Fviewtopic.php%3Ff%3D107%26t%3D13016%26start%3D910. Please have a look at the screenshot.

Ok, now I got what it's happening. Your phpBB forum is "embedded" inside Joomla, I think you are using a specific plugin to do that, right?
Can you please create a specific WAF exception?
You have to leave everything empty, except for the Query parameter field that you have to set to redirect. That should disable AT when you are trying move a post.

Hello,

yes, the forum will be shown as a normal module. That usually works great, but since upgrading it makes trouble. I mentioned there were other problems too. All with css-shield. So I had to deactivate it.

Thank you for your help.
