Hi,

I am suddenly unable to login to my joomla /administrator page as it redirects everything to the homepage.

As I havent been logged in since I upgraded Akeeba software I guess something went wrong there. I talked to my hostingprovider and they claim they havent changed anything.

So, any idea how I can get back into my admin?

I just had a thought. Is there something in Admintools that blocks/redirects the administration page when trying to access it from other countries? I am currently abroad.

There are several features which can do that:
  • IP Administrator Whitelist. If your IP is not in the whitelist you will be redirected back to the home page.
  • Rename administrator directory. If you access the /administrator directory instead of your custom directory this will happen.
  • Secret URL parameter. If you do not put the secret URL parameter you will be redirected to the home page.
  • Away schedule. If you try accessing your site's administrator directory within the hours of the day you've specified as being away (note: this is based on the server's timezone, not where you currently are!) you'll be redirected to the home page.
