I see that the Admin tools breaches log is in the Joomla logs folder which makes it open to everyone to read. To make it not readable to the entire world I change the permissions to 600 instead. Which makes it not readable to the entire world and it seems like Admin tools can still write to it.

I was just wondering if there would be any problems solving that problem like this or if it's a good solution?

As long as Admin Tools can write to the log, that is the important part. The 600 permissions might not work on all server setups.
