When I log as administrator in the backend administration - They can change their own profile — in —> My Profile — I was thinking that putting “Disable editing backend users' properties” to yes will prevent that ?

Hello Patrick,

yes, after enabling that option, if they click on Save they will get an error.

“Disable editing backend users” is set” to yes and a log in Administrator or Super Administrator can still change their own profile by using their Site —> “My Profile” can still change their own profile.

That's the expected behavior.
On frontend users can modify their own profile, since they can't change their groups or permissions.
If you want to disable Super Administrators from logging in on frontend, you should enable the option Forbid front-end Super Administrator login

What was needed is to prevent Administrator to change their profile in backend, but I guess this is not possible with Joomla

So what you need: block profile editing on frontend or backend?
As I wrote before, you can block backend editing by enabling Disable editing backend users' properties (you will receive an error while trying to save the record), you can't block frontend editing.

Don’t Work — user can still change their OWN profile passing by the Backend menu —> Site —> My Profile….

If they pass by the User Manager they will receive the error, but they still can change their Own by “My Profile

Ok, got it.
There was a bug, indeed, and I just fixed it.
You will found the fix in the next version.

Thanks again for reporting it.
