#21125 Strange Problems with Update

 Tried to complete update following advice email.

Direct update generated a '403' error.

Did manual download and update. This process completed normally.

Now on visiting Admin Tools control panel version shows as 3.1.1 with 'Available Update 3.2.0' but on visiting 'Extension Manager: Update' tab no update shown available. Tried reloading update information but no update shown available.

It appears that update completed correctly but wrong version shown in Admin Tools control panel so Admin Tools thinks an update still needed.

Have got same problem following update of Akeeba Backup as well. For some reason '403' error generated too. Update to 4.0.4 shown but manual update forced update to version 4.0.5

direct update will not work. Manual update seems to have caused problem with installation.

Would welcome advice on how to fix.

We've had a tough week. The Admin Tools 3.2.0 was replaced yesterday by 3.2.1 which was pulled this morning because it caused problems with Joomla! 2.5.x systems. The solution, for now, is to stay with, or downgrade to, 3.1.1.

Akeeba Backup 4.0.4 was replaced yesterday with 4.0.5.

Since you are on Joomla! 2.5.x, you can purge the Update cache and search for updates and that should straighten out your cached version information. If that doesn't work, just wait a while until the cache expires and it will all work out on its own.
