So about an hour ago i was notified of a "login failure" on the site. Now here's the issue

Login went through on the front end anyway (it was me logging in btw) yet the warning was still sent out, and to top it off i had whitelisted my ISP ip in the WAF. No clue how that can happen but it is not the first time i see it happening.

No, that's how Joomla! works. Long story cut short, sometimes when your session expires and the "Remember me" feature fails to log you in for any reason you get a failed login notification. No, we can't fix it, it's how Joomla! works. Well, if people continue to ask us four times a week about this like they do the last 3 months I am going to remove the "treat failed login as security exception" feature from Admin Tools.

could find any immediate answers in search so figured I'd ask. No please don't remove it, or did actually notify me correctly of valid failed logins from random people. So i do appreciate that feature being there! Don't get me wrong. If that's how joomla works, then so be it o can live with it now that I know what the underlying reason of the exception is. Consider the matter closed and understood on my behalf :-)

Please leave that feature in there, how else would we know if actual unauthorized ppl tried to login ;-)

I final question on the subject then i'll consider it completely solved.

Is there a way of handling this through session clearing? Or is that not possible either due to the way that akeeba cant track sessions unless handled via database?

It's not a limitation in our software. It's the way Joomla! sessions work.
