 Dear Nicholas,
I was getting internal error 500 on my localhost. I have resolved it by going through #9959 – Server Error 500.
I am quite new to joomla and moreover not on the stronger side technicalities of joomla. I am like an enthusiast who is interested in creating website based on open source.
My query is when I host on the web do I have to make any further changes for its smooth functioning or I can leave it as it is?

Regards,

Hello Pankaj,

usually no, you don't have to do any particular change, however please keep in mind that a local server is a complete different environment than a remote server: usually they have stronger security policies and permissions check (for example regarding the files on your sites).

However, we strongly suggest you to avoid cheap hostings: you could have some "surprises".
I suggest you to try SiteGround: a lot of customers are using it and they are very happy, moreover if you signup form our site you will get 3 months for free.
You can find more info on this page.
