 hello Nicholas, or Akeeba Team !

first time i write to you, but i ve been using akeeba backup and admin tools for a long time, thanks you so much for these excellent quality products !

I'm setting admin tools more in depth, with the htaccess, file permissions, geo blocking etc. Because my site was hacked twice last year, and i still get 2 or 3 security exceptions a day.

I found a problem, that me (super user) and a nice guy from a team support (administrator) are regularly blocked automatically, i mean our IPs blocked.

Each time i follow instructions in the email with pro.php.bak etc etc

but...what should I change as a setting, to preserve a good level of security AND be able to work ?

Note : my IP is changing all the time

Check the Security Exceptions Log. It will tell you why you got blocked. Without that information you're asking me to make a wild guess.

BTW: did you also delete your IP address from both automatic IP block administration AND the security exceptions log? If you don't do that you will be auto-blocked again immediately. It's in our documentation & troubleshooter.

yes i did both,
and each time, it was a "Admin IP Whitelist ". Btw, i must see what it means in the doc

OK, you found the problem. You can't have an admin IP whitelist with an ever-changing IP address. You have to disable the IP whitelist feature. This can of course only work if you have a static IP address.
