 Hi! Just wondering about the GeoIP plugin: I not planning to use this, because as mentioned on this website, it's not that useful. But Is it best to disable (or not install at all) this extra plugin? If enabled (and no filtering is selected) does it have any effect on the server load / page loading time? I think it does, but just checking...

And If I do not install / use the GeoIp filtering, could I hide the message in the start screen about this plugin?

The impact is minimal, around 20 msec (0.02 seconds) per page load. That said, it's not strictly necessary. If you don't mind not having country / continent information in Admin Tools logs you can forget about it. You can't dismiss the notice in Admin Tools' main page, sorry.

OK, thanks! Maybe the log info is still useful...Did not think of that.
