 Joomla Core Update email link.
When I click on the link I am unable to update the Joomla version.
When I delete the htaccess file created admintools then the update is executed when clicking on the email link.
Do I need a server exception in order for this oneclick action to work?
I apologise in advance if this has already been answered on your site. I did look and tried to Google for an answer.

I believe that when you have the "Disable PHP Easter Eggs" option enabled in .htaccess Maker the one click action URLs are being blocked. Can you please try disabling this option in .htaccess Maker, click on "Save and create .htaccess" and retry? Note: Do not use a link you have already clicked on; it will not work (there is a reason these are called one click action URLs – after the first click the special URL is automatically disabled).

Nicholas thanks for the quick response. I have disabled the easter eggs although we have only just finished christmas cake ! lol
The only problem is I can't test this until I receive another email but will let you know how I get on. I did try is via Components > Joomla Updates and that did work.
