 Hi Akeeba

I want to enter my download ID on a test site I have on my NAS, but when I enter it and set the version level to be stable, it just clears the field, and reverts the version level to Alpha.
I've checked on the other website, and the ID is the same, and copied from that.

Please go to your backup profile and make a change to it, it does not matter what the change is. Save the change, exit, then go back in. Is the change still there? I'm testing for a fairly rare bug in Joomal! 3.2.

That is good, the problem is not the Joomla! bug.

Please double check your Download ID on our website under My and Add-on Download IDs. Make sure you are not picking up a leading or trailing space when you are copying the code. Note that your main Download ID will change if you change your password for this site.

I created a 'sub-account' for the download id, but it doesn't seem to paste it in properly, I think I'm going to try and migrate the site to a proper webhotel first, and then see if it works better there.

If you are going to change your web host, that would be a good next step.

I had another client with a similar problem, Nicholas told them to uninstall and reinstall Admin Tools. That is a fairly drastic solution because you will lose all of your custom settings.

Ok, it is now moved to a webhotel, and the addon download I've created for df-design seems to work perfectly in admin tools, but in akeeba backup it isn't saved?

Hello Kenneth,

Did you try the same solution (uninstall and reinstall) with Akeeba Backup? If this doesn't work, it may be linked to a known bug in Joomla! 3.2.0 itself. In any case please do try the uninstall and subsequent reinstall, noting that you will lose your backup settings upon uninstallation. Then please let us know if that helped.
