 Hi Nicholas,

Sorry to be a bother yet again. I've been trying to speed up Joomla, and I've been testing with and without compressed resources using Admin Tools and I thought I'd try comparing it to others to see if there was any difference.

I ran into a problem when saving the .htaccess file because I've moved my site to a new folder. The .htaccess file still references the old folder, but I don't know how to make admin tools reference the new folder.

Currently I'm just updating the .htaccess file, but I don't know if this is a bug or not. Is there a way to update this? I updated my configuration file but it's not linked to that it would seem.

Cheers,
Eoin

Of course it doesn't. You have to delete the .htaccess, go to Admin Tools and reconfigure .htaccess Maker (the relevant options are at the bottom).

There is a reason why Akeeba Backup doesn't update .htaccess. The syntax is so convoluted that automatic update is impossible. It's the same reason we have created a .htaccess Maker and why it overwrites the file by regenerating it instead of parsing and changing it.

Ah HA! There it is. I was resaving the .htaccess file, but without changing the parameters it was just making a new problem. Nice one, sorry to have wasted your time. I know I always say that but I really do hate doing it.

No problem! You just needed a small push towards the right direction. If only everyone else asking for support was as easy to help as you :)
