 Why am I getting this type of installation. I have 2.5.16 installed but it is asking me to install 2.5.15. what is causing this?

An updated version of Joomla! is available.

This is caused by Joomla! not having its cache properly refreshed. Please go to Extensions, Manage Extensions and click on Update. Then click on the Purge button. When the page reload click on the "Find updates" button.
