(How) Is it possible to redirect a user to a special / custom URL, if mistyped the secret admin-url?

Hi Oliver,

no, the user is automatically redirected to the frontend.
However, why you need this feature?

My idea was to redirect to a 404 page (or a frontpage login) in order to lead somebody to believe this is no joomla or give some hint.

In some cases (I think) the simple redirect to frontpage gives a hint that this is a protected joomla.

No, I'm sorry you can't do that.
However please keep in mind that there are other ways to detect a joomla site, for example folder structure, headers etc etc.

No problem :) Thanks!
Sure ... I know that there are many many many more ways to detect a Joomla! :D
Thought to hold simple script-kiddies / simple admin-scanner-scripts away by this "easy idea".
