 Hello,
my problem is: I can no longer access the Admintools in my Joomla backend. I get the error message 403. What can be the cause for that?
Friendly regards
geolino

Make sure you are using the proper user level. Admin Tools requires a Super Administrator by default.

I think I have the right user level: Super Users. I administrate other websites with Admintools where the access works fine.

dlb
From the Joomla! Control Panel, under Users, please check to make sure that the user you are logged in with on your problem site is a Super Administrator.

Is Super User the same level as Super Administrator? In my user's form I have marked my user entry in "Assigned User Groups" as "Super Users".

dlb
Yes, you have the correct user level. I will ask Nicholas to look at this.

Can you please provide a screenshot of the error message where the URL is also shown in the browser's address bar?

You seem to have a Joomla! ACL issue. We can't help much with that, but we can hopefully point you to the right direction.

First make sure that your user only belongs to the Super Users group. If it belongs to multiple groups unassign all other groups and log out and back in. The log out / back in is important.

If your user only belongs to the Super Users group please edit the group and make sure it has the Super User privilege. If it doesn't, give it and thenlog out and back in. The log out / back in is important.

If that still doesn't help your only solution is to uninstall and reinstall the component, noting that you will lose all your settings by doing that.
