Mandatory information about my setup:

Have I read the related troubleshooter articles above before posting (which pages?)? Yes, Troubleshooting issues; And Admin Tools, Ch 2, WAF
Have I searched the tickets before posting? Yes
Have I read the documentation before posting (which pages?)? Yes, Admin Tools Ch 2 WAF
Joomla! version: 1.5.26
PHP version: (unknown)
MySQL version: (unknown)
Host: (optional, but it helps us help you) Rochen, Broome Server
Admin Tools version: (unknown)

Description of my issue:

Gents,

Two problems: locked out of my site by Admintools, and can't upgrade either joomla or admin tools. This has got to be an easy one, but I can't seem to do it. I can't upgrade from 1.5.25 to 1.5.26, using the FTP mode, though I can do it directly. FTP mode says:
JFTP::login: Unable to login
JFTP::write: Unable to use passive mode

ON admintools, I am simply stuck on the page that calls for enabling updates to admin tools.

JFTP::login: Unable to login
JFTP::write: Unable to use passive mode

So, not being able to get into admin tools, I can't fix whatever is locking me out and giving me the "bad person" page.

Your kind patience would be appreciated.

Dear Nicholas,

Thank you for the prompt reply and I followed those instructions prior to my ticket. As I indicated in my note, I can't access Admintools because I cannot get past the "Admin Tools: Post-installation configuration" page enabling updates in Admintools, which gives the error message

JFTP::login: Unable to login
JFTP::write: Unable to use passive mode

and returns to the Admin Tools: Post-installation configuration

Once again, thanks for your patience in replying.

Best,

Ed

I thought that the JFTP error message were obvious. You have to go to your site's Global Configuration and set up the correct FTP details.
