Mandatory information about my setup:

Have I read the related troubleshooter articles above before posting (which pages?)? Yes
Have I searched the tickets before posting? Yes
Have I read the documentation before posting (which pages?)? Yes
Joomla! version: (3.1)
PHP version: (5.3)
MySQL version: (5)
Host: (GoDaddy 4GH hosting plan)
Admin Tools version: (latest)

Description of my issue:

I've recently upgraded from Joomla 2.5.11 to 3.1, but this issue also existed under 2.5.11.

It is modules only that I can't save any changes to, and, when I try, the system locks them out.

I checked almost everywhere, including permissions, but to no avail.

I don't know whether it is related, but Firefox throws the following (among other, mostly back-end CSS-related) warnings:

Warning: Empty string passed to getElementById().

I'd appreciate any help.
