Description of my issue:

I have followed instruction for resetting admintol protection password - I found no .htacess or .htpasswd in root of administrator directory, so remade these - blank files. The admin for admintools is still asking me for a password - and won't accept the one I know it to be - HELP!?
Thanks

.htaccess and .htpasswd are "dot files", i.e. files whose name starts with a dot. These files are, by default, hidden in Linux and other UNIX-based operating systems. You have to tell your FTP programme to display hidden files. If you are unsure or cannot do that, please ask your host to remove those two files from the administrator directory.
