Description of my issue:
Just a question answered please... If I choose to password protect Administrator, does that mean that simply the back end of joomla's admin gui is protected or will it also protect the 'Administrator' folder in the root folder on the domain?

Hi,

when you enable the password protection, Admin Tools creates two files into your administrator folder.
This means that every request that targets any resource under the administrator folder should be authenticated.
So the answer is: yes, it will protect your administrator folder and its contents.
