Mandatory information about my setup:

Have I read the related troubleshooter articles above before posting (which pages?)? Yes
Installation, upgrade and update troubleshooting for Akeeba Backup, Admin Tools and other software

Have I searched the tickets before posting? Yes
Have I read the documentation before posting (which pages?)? Installation
Joomla! version: 2.5.11
PHP version: 5.2.23
MySQL version: 5.5.23-55
Host: Hostgator
Admin Tools version: 2.5.3

Description of my issue:

I have Akeeba Backup Pro installed. I can install and use Admin Tools Core just fine. When I install Admin Tools Pro, when I click on the menu item in the Joomla Administrator panel, I get an error that says

403 - An error has occurred.
Access forbidden
Return to Control Panel

I uninstall Admin Tools Pro, install Admin Tools Core and everything works fine again. I see ticket items about getting this error when managing users aftr installin Admin Tools Pro, but nothing about not being able to launch Admin Tools Pro.

Any suggestions where I can look for some kind of conflict? I've used Admin Tools Pro on other installations of Joomla just fine.

Thanks,
Tom

Hi Tom,

are you accessing the site as Super Administrator or you have a custom level (not as SA)?
Can you try logging in as Super Admin?

No, my account is Super User. I also tried the account created during installation with same results.

I also see I need to correct version of PHP I have. Is 5.3.23. Mis-typed that last night.

What access does "Pro" need that "Core" does not? I do not get the error when using "Core".

Thanks,
Tom

Can you please try using the latest dev release? I think it has to do with a known issue.

That worked. Thank you.

You can mark that one as a known fix now - whatever it was. ;-)

Thanks again.

All right! Thank you for the feedback. This was a bug I discovered just before I went to the conference last week. A new version will be released later this week (most likely Friday) to address this issue.
