Description of my issue:
Hello - Since a while, I don't receive Joomla update notifications per e-mail for several websites. "System - One Click Action" & "System - Joomla! Update Email"-plugins are activated. So I don't know what can be the problem. (In backend, AdminTools shows that a Joomla update is available).

How does Admin Tools send mails (Sendmail, PHP-Mail, SMTP)?
Is it necessary that the Super User have set "Receive System E-Mails" to "Yes"?

Emails are sent by a plugin running on your site using Joomla!'s JMailer class. Emails are sent to all Super Administrators, i.e. all users belonging to groups which have the Super Admin privilege, and who have set the Receive System E-mails to Yes.
