Hello David,

The generated .htaccess is a bit long but not long enough to cause a slowdown. The most likely cause of your issue is that when the generated .htaccess is in place some kind of dynamically generated Javascript is blocked. Since the browser "locks" while it's waiting for JS sources to be loaded this can be the cause of the perceived slowdown. Have you tried our .htaccess troubleshooting instructions?

Hi Nicholas.
i had read the .htaccess troubleshoot guide. i had problems with some extensions like Joomlawatch and i used the direct access option in that case with success.
I don't receive any king of error or worning now.
The "slowness" of the site is perceptible but also is perceptible the changement of speedness of Register during the day itself.
The fact is when register is in "slow fase" the reduced performance of the site because .htaccess (probably a normal thing) reduce the site to a pudding!
In this particular moment it is responsive.
Thank you for the answer.
Best regard

I honestly have no idea why that would happen. Then again, if the server is slow as molasses it's reasonable that the tiniest bit of slowdown would be magnified and become more than perceptible.

Hi Nicholas,
i apologize my delay.
I have tested akeeba admin after having migrated my site form register to my cloud server on Aruba.
The slowness is desapearred!
I think there is some issue with provider.
Thank you for your help.
Best regards.

Hello David,

It makes sense. All I could suspect was a server issue and this seems to confirm it. Thank you for the feedback!
