Mandatory information about my setup:

Have I read the related troubleshooter articles above before posting (which pages?)? Yes
Have I searched the tickets before posting? Yes
Have I read the documentation before posting (which pages?)? Yes
Joomla! version: (2.5.9)
PHP version: (5.3.17)
MySQL version: (5.5.27-percona-sure1-log)
Host: (ICDSoft)
Admin Tools version: (2.5.3)

Description of my issue: Clicking "Purge Sessions" logs you out of the admin area immediately, without warning, and you will not get back in! I had to revert all files and the database to a version prior to this action before I could access the admin area again.

While it will log you out (as your session is deleted) you can log back in. Sometimes it is necessary to clear your cookies, but you CAN log back in. How do you think I can still get back on my own sites' back-ends? :)

Nicholas, I have used "Purge Sessions" many times before and this is the only time this has happened to me. I report it because it is the first time I had used it on the 2.5.3 update, so I assumed that was the culprit. After being forced out of admin (I am never closed out automatically after "purge session" previously), I can see the log in screen but no amount of logging in attempts got me anywhere but back to the admin login screen.

There hasn't been an update in the Purge Sessions feature since sometime in the 2.2 release of Admin Tools. There was definitely no change between 2.4 and 2.5. What you are describing has happened to me. As I said, you need to clear your browser cookies and you will be able to log in to your site again.
