Description of my issue:

I just signed up and purchases the Admin Pro Tools.

When I got the confirmation email is  designated my user name as: wardvansighem

I have no idea where this came from as it certainly wasn't anything I chose...

Needless to say I went immediately into my profile and WAS NOT ABLE TO CHANGE THIS???

I don't want "wardvansighem" as a user name so please tell me what I have to do to get this changed even if it means setting up a whole new account and moving my subscription to this account.

Please Help!

Dear Kevin,

You chose your username in the subscription page, in the "username" field. Of course you can't change this after subscription (it would create very important side-effects, that's why Joomla! doesn't allow it). If you tell me your intended username I can tell you if it's free and change it for you.

Ok thanks and sorry for the "hassle"...

One question I do have on the Admin Tools is:

1. I don't want any "security" on my local development box...only on my live site. So what is the best way to do this?

Do I just only make all the neccessary settings after I have uploaded my site to "live" or is there a way to NOT apply settings when I'm on my local box?

Hello Kevin,

Simple solutions work best. Once you restore your site to your local server just disable the System - Admin Tools plugin. When restoring back to the live server just enable this plugin. If you're wondering, that's exactly what I do :)
