Joomla! version: 2.5.9
PHP version: 5.3.19
MySQL version: 5.5.30
Host: (optional, but it helps us help you)
Admin Tools version: 2.5.1

Description of my issue: i was on version 2.4.4 and tried a auto upgrade and received lots of errors. So i removed the .htaccess file i made, used the default one and then tried to reinstall but when i try to reinstall i get

  • Failed deleting input.php

  • Failed deleting query.abstract.php
  • Failed deleting query.element.php

  • Failed deleting query.sqlsrv.php
  • Failed deleting render.abstract.php
  • Failed deleting render.joomla.php
  • Failed deleting render.joomla3.php
  • Failed deleting render.strapper.php
  • Failed deleting string.utils.php
  • Failed deleting table.php
  • Failed deleting template.utils.php
  • Failed deleting toolbar.php
  • Failed deleting view.csv.php
  • Failed deleting view.html.php
  • Failed deleting view.json.php
  • Failed deleting view.php
  • Failed deleting admintools-filescanner.php
  • Installing component was successful.

other than that i also do not see the menu item under components and akeeba backup also do not work anymore

Please retry installing Admin Tools 2.5.1 and Akeeba Backup 3.7.1 without uninstalling them first.

Note: you may have to disable the System - System Restore Points plugin (if it's enabled) before the reinstallation.

i have upgraded a site from 2.4.4 to 2.5.3 and now when i try to go into admin tools, i just get

403 - An error has occurred.
Access forbidden

Return to Control Panel

tried removing htaccess file and uninstall reinstall - but nothing seems to work - site functions normal from what i can see, i just can not get into admin tools.

installed com_admintools-rev3A2CDEE-pro.zip - i am now able to open it - should i just keep that untill the new stable version?

Yes, please. This dev version is the one I'll be publishing over the next two days as a stable. I'm just doing final testing.
