Sorry, but I don't know what my Download ID is - have tried with login username for the site...

Log in to AkeebaBackup.com. On the right hand side there is a vertical menu. Click on My Instructions. I believe the rest is self explanatory.

When loading Instructions I get:

 

403 - You are not authorised to view this resource.

 

I'm logged in and have downloaded Admintools Pro...

Try logging out and back in. This is Joomla!'s ACL permissions caching kicking in. After a log out and log in you should be able to see those pages.

I found the ID and tried to update, but got htis:

 

Warning

JInstaller: :Install: Cannot find XML setup file

Message

Invalid package type. The update can not proceed.

Yes - ID is entered and accepted (No warning in AT Panel)...

That's not the last step :) The last step is this: 

Click on the button next to the Joomla! update status one (the second on the topmost row in the main control panel area). Depending on your update status it may read "Up to date", "UPDATE FOUND" or "Live Update is not supported". No matter what it reads, click on it. On the new page, please click on the "Refresh update information" button.
