Description of my issue:

HI,

I have opened akeeba the other day and this is the error i get repeated about 7-8 times

Warning: file_put_contents(/home/kilikano/public_html/cache/com_admintools.updates.ini) [function.file-put-contents]: failed to open stream: Permission denied in /home/kilikano/public_html/libraries/joomla/filesystem/file.php on line 418

Permission is 777 and it has the correct ownership of the file.

Why isn't it working?

Thanks

Giedre

This means that your front-end cache directory is not writeable or the file com_admintools.updates.ini file in your front-end cache directory is not writeable. In both cases the suggested approach is to make sure that your ownership and permissions are correct or enable Joomla!'s FTP options in the Global Configuration.
