Mandatory information about my setup:

Have I read the related troubleshooter articles above before posting (which pages?)? No
Have I searched the tickets before posting?yes
Have I read the documentation before posting (which pages?)? yes
Joomla! version: (2.5.9)
PHP version: (5.3.20)
MySQL version: (5.5.30-log)
Host: (Bluehost)
Admin Tools version: (pro-2.4.4)

Description of my issue:

I have installed the Admin tools through the Joomla installer as per usual.

I find that com_admintools is under administrator in the files = administrator/components/com_admintools

This does not seem right to me.

I would expect it to be components/com_admintools

I found this when trying to go to components/com_admintools/views/blocks

All I could find was administrator/components/com_admintools/views......... there was no file blocks.

Can you help me with this?

Many thanks

Sandra

You do not understand how Joomla! components work under the hood. I cannot provide a tutorial on component development. Therefore I regret to inform you that, no, I can unfortunately not help you with this support request.

Should I uninstall and reinstall to have it under /components and not /administrator/components?

or are you telling me that */administrator/components/com_admintools  is correct path to admin tools?

I am telling you that things are exactly as they should be and you should not try to "fix" what you don't understand that is not broken :) Components have, among other things, a public (frontend) and administrator (backend) part. They are stored in different directories. Don't try to fuss with the components' files. If you do, the components will break.
