Description of my issue: I just got an security exception :tmpl= in URL with target url http://mysite/index.php?option=com_juser&view=captcha&noxajax=1&tmpl=component0.7381282844883504

Do you think this may be an attack which might have been happening and I was not aware or is it false positive

It's either an attack or very badly written Javascript on your page. The last part of the URL should be &tmpl=component&something=0.7381282844883504. My guess is that you simply have some very badly written Javascript on the page. Please contact the developer of your component (com_juser is not a core Joomla! component)
